January Update – 2026

Snow & Ice

We have been dealing with a lot of snow and ice like many others in Tennessee and Kentucky. The last full day of school the girls had was January 23rd. They are loving it, but it has been challenging.

We officially know that the Alvaton Church of Christ in Bowling Green, KY will be our sending church. We have worked with them for 15 years and truly love them. We will be under the authority of the Alvaton elders and will report to them for accountability. We are still working out some of the details of our agreement, so, please pray for that.

time to start fund-raising

We hope to move at the end of May or early June. Which gives us about 4 months to raise our support. Our support goal, to be fully funded, is $85,000 in annual and $72,000 in one-time. Of the annual costs, roughly 65% is the costs associated with the girls’ schooling. Attending an international school opens up some long-term Visa options for us and allows the girls to transition easier with an English speaking school. Those school costs are expected to come down, but we won’t know for sure until they approve our missionary discount sometime in March.
